Well I got busy last week and finally decided to fit me roof lights!! They are Hella Comet 550's converted to HID to go with the rest of my lighting!! All I can say they are bloody bright and give a great spread!! And on a bad note I blew a head gasket on the weekend so that's one for me to do in my lunch breaks at work!!! Anywho here's some pics!!

Well not too sure if it is the head gasket......... It's started blowing blue smoke all of a sudden the other day after it idled for about 1/2 an hour due to inflating about 100 balloons with the compressor!!! I turned it of after blowing up the balloons and when I turned it back on it started blowing smoke and has been since!! Also I've noticed that the motor is quite blowie through the oil filler and it has never been like that??? The boss and the other mechanic at work said that it sounds like the rings...??? Got be beat what it is!!!.....?????

A basic old compression test should diagnose rings being stuffed Reedy.

Well we've been clashing heads together and it may have glased the bores as the airflow meter was dirty and the mixture was quite rich. The plan now is tomorrow night I'm gunna take it for a hard run up Mount Archer and load it up and rebed the rings abit and burn some crap out of it!!!

Well it has cleared itself up believe it or not!! It seems it may have glased the bores as the airflow meter was dirty and it had been running a bit rich!!! When it was idling for such a long time it must of just topped it off!! I've run some Brimrose fuel additive in it at an extra strong rate and took it for a labored drive up Mount Archer the other night and now it seems to have done the trick Suspect as no more blue smoke!! cheers On another note the HID's on the roof are bloody awesome driving up the mountain!!! lol!

A bit of an update. I've fitted a set of extractors and 2&1/2" exhaust to the Prado and replaced the steering rack as the old one had seen too much mud and water!! The extractors and exhaust have improved power, torque and economy!! Also I have a reshoot with 4wd Action in the next few weeks for the Prado and a shoot on my camper!!!

Update time!!! Finally figured out the whole smoking problem when idling for long periods, it ended up being the idle up valve on the power steering pump that runs via engine vacuum and load. The valve was leaking oil into the intake which was causing the smoke, removed the vacuum lines and now no more smoke!!!!

I've also mounted an air tank underneath the Prado with another fitting in the rear. it works very well so far and will be great for getting tyres back on the bead!!!

Also I got a update on the 4WDAction shoot and they plan on end of November or start of December to shoot both my Prado and GIC Camper!!! They also asked me to help find at least 5 trucks for them to shoot during the week while they're here!!! So if you think your truck has the goods send me a PM and I'll give you their email to send them some pics and list of mods!!!

Anywho here's some pics!!!

Got a mound of dirt out the back after some new pipes we had done so I thought I'd do some angle parking for sh!ts and giggles lol

Here are some pics of a recent weekend away!!
