76 TX Gemini

This is my current project:













It is a 1976 TX Holden Gemini. It is going to be my daily and the suzy is going to become a little more extreme when this is done.

So far the engine work done is:

Bored 40 thou over
New pistons and rings
30/70 cam
Block decked
Head shaved
Valves surfaced
Hardened seats
Acid bathed block
Bead blasted head

The carby is going to be rebuilt and rejetted to run a bit better with the exhaust and the cam.

The car has also been stripped right down and is awaiting work at the panel beaters. The floor had a bit of rust in it, well a lot of rust, so they are welding a new floor in and respraying it. Inside, out, boot and engine bay. The colour is red passion, the new dark metallic red that is on the new Holdens. I have got a new set of seats for it:





They are only a temporary measure until I can get all of the interior retrimmed. I am getting new carpet and hoodlining, both black, and i will be getting the seats, dash and door cards retrimmed in just black vinyl.

ahh memories, I had a tx sedan white with 1600, weber ,exhaust lowered with 13inch hotwires (they were cool a while ago) . Used to tow my 15 ft fiberglass boat around. Got some looks at the boat ramp when you dump the old girl at about 4000 to get the boat out of the water.

Thanks, no it is just red passion off the new commodore's but it has more metalic in it
